The classes listed below revolve during the course of the year.  They are intended to compliment  the student's training by assisting them in exploring different aspects of their martial art in more depth.  All classes are included with enrollment for no additional cost unless otherwise stated. Basic Group Classes

This class is designed to spend quality time on developing and maintaining basic skills as well as privide our students the opportunity for student to student interaction.  Attendance to this class is mandatory for all students.   All students must attend this class prior to attending any advanced classes that may follow.

Required Belt level:    Open to all students. 

Required Material:    NONE.

Kids Group Classes

Tuesday & Thursday 4:30 pm.  These classes are geared towards the special needs and interests of children between the ages of 7 and 12 years old.

Striking Classes

StrikingThis class is designed to introduce and to spend quality time on contact.  The contact in this class will be limited to focus mitts, kick shields and controlled student to student interaction.  Competition classes are available for those who qualify.  Talk to your instructor for more information.

Required Belt level;      1st Stripe Orange Belt and up

Required Material;   

·        14oz. Gloves

·        Shin Pads

·        Hands Wraps (*Optional, but recommended*)

Grappling Classes

GrapplingOur grappling classes are designed to compliment a student’s striking skills by giving our students the additional sensitivity to interaction only possible through hands on experience.   Competition classes are available for those who qualify.  Talk to your instructor for more information.

Required Belt level;      Open to all students.  Attendance is mandatory for all advanced students.

Required Material;   

·        Shorts or sweat pants.  Very important: NO ZIPPERS on the sweat pants. Board shorts, athletic shorts, sweat shorts are all acceptable.

·        No sweatshirts. T-shirts and rash guards are acceptable. 

·        Wrestling shoes are recommended but not required.  Keep in mind you must be barefoot or in wrestling shoes only.

·        Knee pads are mandatory.  They can be found at Big 5, Wall-Mart, or Target.

·        Bring a towel.

·        Most important.  Leave your ego at the door and be ready to work hard, learn and have fun.

Competition Classes    

CompetitionTimes and days are posted as they get scheduled

Description:     The main focus of our school will always be the development of realistic self defense.  With that said, training for competition not only allows students to satisfy the need they may feel to test their abilities but also compliments their overall training by spending quality time on honing and developing specific skills.  Our competition classes take many forms depending the nature of the competition.  Some classes are geared towards kickboxing, some towards grappling and some towards both.

Required Belt Level:     These are invitation only classes.  To insure the safety of our students we do not allow students to participate in this class if we do not feel in is in their best interests.  No specific belt level required to attend.

Requirements;   All student are required to maintain their overall training in order to remain eligible for this class.

Advanced Conditioning Class    

CondistioningRuns twice a year.  Consists of two additional classes a week for 8 weeks.

Description;    This class combines time tested and proven training techniques with the most recent breakthroughs in training physiology.  This class is designed to enhance a student's speed, power and overall cardiovascular fitness.  The majority of the exercises in this class can be adapted to the fitness level of the individual so every student trains at their peak ability level and attains maximum results.  This is a highly recommended class for all student interested in improving their physical condition.

Required Belt Level:     NONE

Requirements:     Additional charge required to attend this class.

Technique Application Class     

TechniqueFriday Nights @ 7:00

Description:     This class is designed to spend quality time on free form, aggression and fighting instincts.  Flow drills and student to student interaction will be used in this class to give our students the sensitivity to interaction needed to bridge the gap between training and application.

Required Belt level:      Orange Belt and up.

Requirements:     All students must be in full uniform

Advanced Technique Application Class    

Adv Technique2 months on, 3 months off throughout the year

Description:     We would tell you what we do in this class but then we would have to hunt you down.... just kidding. The focus of this class varies depending on the subject being addressed.

Required Belt level:      1st Stripe Blue Belt and up.

Requirements:    Students must be in full uniform.  Must have one set (2) of fighting Sticks.

Sparring    

SparringClasses will be conducted on a three-month on and three-month off basis.

Description:     Classes will be broken into men, women and children categories.  Sparring will also be broken into beginner, intermediate and advanced classes.   All student must progress to the intermediate class before becoming eligible for progression to the Blue Belt.  Beginning sparring will consist primarily of controlled contact and drills.  Intermediate sparring will consist of full contact sparring.  Advanced sparring will include full contact sparring with throws.

Required Belt level:      2nd Stripe Orange Belt and up

Required Material:      14oz. Gloves - Shin guards - Mouthpiece - Hand wraps - Groin protection

Seminars & School Functions    

Seminars

Times and days are posted as they get scheduled

Description:     Advanced classes, periodic classes, seminars and school functions are all done for the benefit of the student body.  These classes are intended to bring the student's attention to other areas of their martial arts, new avenues to explore, possibly meet a prominent figure in the martial arts, and in some cases, push the student harder than they otherwise thought possible.
